The nursery doors open on to a patio area and a pond. Children love the patio space where they enjoy a wide range of activities inside and outside having access to free choice and free flow as well as being encouraged in to planned curriculum activities set to meet their needs. The play area is a purpose built fenced off safe area where children can use a variety of equipment such as the parachute, scooters, bikes and have fun with the mechanics of the water stations.  Children love the bike track and the mud kitchen in the play area along with a variety of learning activities that are undertaken in this multipurpose area. Parents and carers are most welcome to visit always.   We offer a personal approach to parents and aim to be flexible enough to meet the individual needs of their children.  Play is important! You will see that when planning activities, we aim to promote development in the EYFS Foundation Stage.   The largest part of the garden is a wonderful wilderness, full of mini beasts and wildlife. Already we have found homes of snails, woodlice, rabbits and the nettles and bushes encourage a whole host of different butterflies and moths. We have a well-established pond, which is covered and safe.
Children love to be in the outside world and they learn by exploring, team building, following instructions, problem solving.  Children are supported emotionally and physically and given many opportunities where they learn, mathematically, literacy, understanding of the world, expressive arts and their communication and language is supported through engaging activities.
The children benefit from so much space to play, explore, learn and have fun and you will agree that Abberley House Nursery has something unique in environment the children grow. We are very proud of our gardens and outdoor space, cabin, patio, orchards, greenhouse, sheds, log area, play area and Forest School as well as our indoor space. The children enjoy growing their own vegetables, cultivating and preparing them for eating. Children as young as 6 months up to 11 years enjoy our Family feel setting with previous nursery children returning each in Holiday Club. Due to our generous staff ratio, children thrive on being able to use all parts of the setting and make use of all the space and let their imagination go and having the opportunity to sustain important play and having access to all resources wherever they are in the setting.
